Dear Patients,
After 14 years of a fulfilling career in family medicine, I will be transitioning to a solely dermatology practice as of January 1, 2020. This has been a difficult decision as it has been truly an honour and privilege to have cared for all of my patients over this length of time. As you may be aware, I have been passionate about dermatology since the beginning of my medical career and have worked for 12 years at Pacific Derm prior to bringing my skin-focused practice to Cambie Village. I have also been teaching dermatology to UBC Family Practice residents as a Clinical Instructor over the last 7 years with the goal of improving primary care dermatology expertise in the community.
I will be working hard in the upcoming months to assist this transition for my patients as you will need to establish a relationship with a new family physician. Unfortunately my associate physicians are currently unable to accommodate my patient load due to several reasons including our recent 2-month closure from the clinic flood, physician summer holidays, and the temporary departure of one of our physicians for 3 months in the Fall. I have attached a list of practices accepting new patients and recommend contacting them as soon as possible as I suspect they will fill up quickly.
My current wait times for family practice patients will unfortunately be increasing and as of October 1st I will only be available for 2 days per week for family practice. When requested, I will ensure that patient records are transferred to your new physician in a timely manner. I thank you in advance for your understanding.
